The Design & Access Statement (DAS) has been developed in conjunction with the proposed drawings which outline the proposals for change to St Edward’s. The principal purpose of the Design & Access Statement is to outline, in words, the overall project proposals and the need for change. The DAS will be issued as a supporting document when issuing the various applications for approval, namely the applications submitted to the following organisations:
These are the plans for the Community Facilities and Accessibility Project, as submitted for Faculty and Local Authority Planning Permission in October 2018. They differ in some details from the original plans in the Options Appraisal. For example, the original heat exchange system was found to be unsuitable, and the roof area was considered too small for the planned solar panels.
