A large number of people share the resources of St Edward's Church for many different purposes. At the core of all of our work we try to promote the Christian principles of caring - for each other in our community, for people throughout the world, especially those less fortunate than ourselves, and for our planet and our shared heritage that we will pass to the next generation. These ideas are constantly evolving, and are only meaningful if the whole community is committed to them. Here are some of the initiatives we are trying to develop.
Fairtrade: For over 10 years, St Edward's has been committed to using Fairtrade tea, coffee, sugar etc.
Eco Church: We are committed to care for God's earth as part of our everyday work and witness.
Safe Church: Roath Parish has adopted the Church in Wales Safeguarding Policy.
Charities: Supported in a variety of ways - collections, events, social/campaign groups, etc.
Community Projects: Caring for each other, and people living locally, especially those who are lonely or feel isolated and vulnerable.
Charity-Social: Groups and Events organised to support a variety of charities.
